Green
Technologies FZCO celebrated its 10th year anniversary
on the 11th of September 2007. Established initially
as Mario Associates Engineering Consultants in Dubai
in 1992, Green Technologies was launched in 1997 with
a special focus on Green Design and Sustainable Construction.
The company successfully completed its first project
in the Seychelles by taking the Le Meridian Fisherman’s
Cove Hotel, to within the reaches of achieving LEED Certification
in 1998 and went on to become a member of the United
States Green Building Council implementing its Leadership
in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System
in construction projects.
The
company has since then undertaken many an assignment
in the Middle East as well as overseas such as the Kandalama
Hotel in Sri Lanka, the first LEED Green building outside
the United States of America, awarded a LEED Bronze Certification
in 2002 and the Wafi City District Cooling Chiller Plant
(DCCP) ONE, the first LEED Green Building in the Middle
East, awarded a LEED Gold Certification, to name a few
among many other LEED projects on its profile. Green
Technologies attributes its success to the entrepreneurship,
professionalism and dedication of its personnel and is
currently providing sustainability consultancy services
to the Dubai World Trade Centre Development – Phase
1 in the UAE, one among many of its current major undertakings. |
