Mr.
Kevin Hydes, Chairman of the World Green Building Council,
visited ABN AMRO’s proposed Call Centre offices
in Dubai, UAE on the 25th of June 2007. The 83,000sq.ft.
spanning buildings are owned by TECOM Investments FZ
- L.L.C. and has been leased out to ABN AMRO. After
viewing the interiors of the office complex, Mr. Hydes
congratulated Mr. Jitin N. Kandy of ABN AMRO Bank for
taking the leadership and the project team consisting
of KS & Associates (Project Managers), Sankalpan
(Interior Design Consultants), Maunsel (Mechanical,
Electrical and Plumbing Consultants) and Green Technologies
(LEED Consultants) for the outstanding work done on
the project’s sustainable design and construction,
keeping in mind, the client’s keenness in being
environmentally and socially responsible.
Green Technologies
provided professional services to assess the design, recommend
viability of LEED certification and rate this project according
to the LEED rating system for Commercial Interiors. It is believed
that the project can be certified and strive for a LEED® Gold
rating under LEED®-CI for Commercial Interiors. The certification
process is underway.
