Green Technologies evaluated the Techno-Economic feasibility for Solar PV generation potential for a Grid-Connected Solar PV Car Parking Project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This was the business case proposal put forward to our Client.
Next Phase of the Project involved Design Development and Specifications for Procurement. Design Strategy encompassed integrating a Grid-connected Solar PV Array with Car Park Shades for 25 car parking spaces (68kWp), thus replacing conventional fabric shaded car parking systems. This solution allows generation of renewable energy using the same footprint area of conventional car parking systems, thereby reducing the facility’s carbon footprint while offsetting the Electric Load Profile of the facility which is dependent on Utility Grid for power supply.
