Engineers and Project Managers for the first LEED™ Green Building in Dubai, U.A.E and the Middle East

Hyatt Regency Dubai - (2003)

The project involved the replacement of the 23 year old chiller plant.

The retrofit included

  • 5000 Tons of Centrifugal Chillers
  • 6000 Tons of Cooling Towers
  • Condenser water Pumps

    New equipment included
  • Chiller Plant Manager
  • Variable Speed Chillers
  • Variable Flow Primary Pumping
  • Detailed design, methodology, contract documents
  • Complete energy modeling using DOE 2.1E
  • Life Cycle analysis, including value engineering

Al Wasl Hospital (1989)

Installation of new 750-ton chiller, cooling tower and auxiliary systems to supplement the existing battery of chillers.

The scope included design, supply, installing and commissioning of new and existing chiller.

Union Tower - (2002)

Carried out feasibility study for

- Retrofitting chillers or connecting to district cooling system.

- Work included Energy modeling and performing life cycle analysis.

- The installed capacity of the chiller plant was two of 750 T retrofitted to two of 400 T.

Marley Cooling Tower Study (1998)

- Study of water-cooled and air cooled chillers gulf wide.

- The study was based on life cycle analysis of air and water cooled systems.

- The study determined the transition point for switching from air-cooled to water-cooled chillers. In 1998 the transition from air-cooled to water-cooled chillers was at 1000T.
