Description:

The project is completed and occupied on December 2012. The basement is primarily used for the parking and a part of which will be used for facilities such as file/storage room, etc. Part of the ground floor provides space for gymnasium, canteen, nursery, and prayer room. The client has selected LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) as a design tool for achieving Sustainability, using LEED 2009 for New Construction and Major Renovations from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The project achieved the highest certification level, LEED Platinum rating for Government Buildings and has engaged the services of Green Technologies FZCO as their LEED Consultant. The project incorporated extensive use of renewable energy through photovoltaic and solar hot water system and 100% onsite recycling of wastewater. Energy savings for the building attained 66.1% relative to ASHRAE 90.1-2007. The project uses LED lighting with controls, enthalpy wheel for heat recovery, high efficiency water cooled chillers, and VAV based demand control ventilation to name a few.
