Green Technologies were appointed to perform an inspection of Grand Hyatt Dubai’s Chilled Water Plant (8000 TR Capacity) consisting of 8 x 1000 TR Water Cooled Centrifugal Chillers, these Chillers were around 13 years old and Grand Hyatt Dubai required the services of Green Technologies to perform an investigation into the performance of the existing Chillers and to provide recommendations for improvement and upgrade.
During the analysis stage, Green Technologies investigated the Water Treatment System, Cooling Towers, existing Chiller Performance and Efficiency and proposed improvements to the Chilled Water Plant.
Following these recommendations, Grand Hyatt Dubai approved the retrofit of two (2) of the existing eight (8) Chillers to a Centrifugal Water Cooled VFD enabled type with Green Technologies providing the design for the upgraded chilled water plant and specialist engineering expertise. Following a competitive tender process and subsequent award, the project is scheduled for implementation in December 2015.
