Hotels provide the platform to reduce 10 to 30% of energy and water consumption by way of adopting design and operation improvements. This training Workshop addresses the design and operation process aiding conservation and provides tools for the implementation of such strategies. According to regional statistics, hotels account for the largest electricity and water consumption in the commercial sector. Recent studies by LEED and Estidama show that applying conservation strategies in Hotels would not only protect the environment but will also benefit the end user and the hotelier / owner by reducing the consumption cost.
