This course, entitled LEED v4 for Engineers, is customized for Engineers pursuing LEED projects and or looking to enhance their implementation best practices.

Course Summary:

Gain essential knowledge of the LEED Building Design and Construction rating systems including credit intents, requirements, and referenced standards; synergies among credits; and foundations of the LEED certification process. Learn about the key situations that engineers encounter, and benefit from case studies and examples that enable you to work hands-on with LEED implementation strategies and rating system tools. Through the day, you would be engaged in discussions and interactive activities based on real projects to enforce what you have learnt.
This workshop is appropriate for Engineers pursuing LEED projects, or those about to embark on their initial LEED project. It is beneficial for engineers who are familiar with the basic concepts of LEED, but new to implementing it on projects, or who are looking to enhance their implementation best practices.

Objectives

Discuss the overall LEED Certification process and the unique aspects of the LEED v4 Rating System
Describe the intents and associated concepts of each LEED credit category pertaining to an engineers scope of work
Engage in discussions on real life project examples and credit implementation processes
Recognize successful LEED strategies and measurements for achieving credit category goals pertaining to an engineers scope of work
Identify and explain synergies between LEED credits and strategies
