Description:
The Proposed Emirates Flight Training Organisation (EK-FTO) Facilities at Dubai World Central, Dubai, when completed, will cater to 400 full time on-site cadets. The facilities will be divided in to two main areas, the Airside Facilities and the Landside Facilities.
Following completion of Energy Conservation work on the Landside facilities, Green Technologies were appointed to provide further value added engineering services and develop Energy Conservation Measures for the Airside Facilities.
The Airside Facilities consisted of a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Hangar (MRO) and Utility Block, Airport Fire Station and Airfield Electrical Substation. Through Green Technologies Engineering efforts, expertise in Energy Modelling and with the support of Emirates Group and the MEP Consultant, the Design tonnage for these facilities was reduced by approximately 65 Tons of Cooling, leading to significant savings in Chilled Water Demand for the overall project.
